There is no way to know what I'd do until it happens. With all the lawsuits, I probably would immediately call 911 then determine if there was anything I could do without making the situation worse!!! I would hope the dispatcher at 911 would walk me through some safe steps to take until the ambulance could arrive. A man here tried to assist an accident victim only to be sued for making matters worse. I like to think I would automatically react to help the person. However, even on The Doctors television show, they say to proceed cautiously unless you're actually in the medical field. I don't know that I would be brave enough to run into a burning building to try & save someone...but I couldn't possibly know until it happens.

If I am in a postiion to help I most definitely will try to stop and help, but if there's nothing I can really do and I can't really stop I'll just try to call the police and let them know what is happening. But I think it's just instict to try to help someone when you see they are in trouble.

I would stop and try to help. I could not live with myself, if I didn't at least do what I could. I would not move them unless they were in more danger by staying there.

There are so many 'ifs' in this situation! If I witness the accident, I will stop. I was in a car accident where witness accounts were invaluable! I would want to return the favor to someone else if I could. If someone else is already there helping, I would keep going. Too many people can be a bad thing as well. If the person is in danger where they are at and cant move themselves, I would move them if I was able. If they arent in any danger where they are, it is best to leave them alone. I think anyone is able to call for help. Of course, if the accident is already on the side of the road, I dont usually bother. They dont need 100 reports of the same accident! So in the end, if I think they need my help, I will stop. If I think everyone looks ok or there is already someone else there, I wont. I dont want to get in the way to make things worse!

It has happened to me a couple of times and usually if it is big or not I will help. If it was like a bumper thing I might signal the driver to make sure they are okay but then keep going. If it was a big accident I don't think I would try to move bodies and play superhero because if I move a body in a certain way that could mess them up and I wouldn't want to be responsible for that

A doctor will say to you that is a good decision don t move the body, because you can hurt him, but....if there will be an explosion? he will die in fire...right?

I'd always call the emergency responce (911) first. Then see if there is something I can do to help. This would get VERY tricky though because anything I do as an untrained cevilian could cause more harm than good.

It happens to me before i was driving my motorcycle along araneta ave. in quezon city approcing del monte ave. there is curve i saw another motor cycle slide and saw the driver and his passenger rolling on the road i quickly full over and approach the accident the driver got up with minor injury but his passenger maybe a lady in her mid 50 is in pain since im not a doctor i told them not to try to move the body so i place my motorcycle and turn on my hazzard light to the approching vehicle so that they can change their line until the help arrive.

Usually when I see an accident and if it's nothing major I would while in my car see if everyone is okay. But if emergency is needed and hasn't been contacted I would go ahead and do so for the person and make sure that they get the help that they need if anyone is in danger or if they are hurt. If I notice that the person is in need of some help, I would stop my car, pull over to the side of the road near them and see if I can assist them with anything. I am usually a person that loves to help another out and I think to myself that if I was in a similar situation heaven forbid and I needed help someone else would be doing so for me as well.
