Should we boycott IAMS?

I found this link about IAMS still performing tests on animals http://www.astrostar.com/make-your-own-pet-food.htm I am wondering if boycotting is necessary. I mean if we stop buying their products they will eventually close down, but will they close down soon enough so that the animals in the cages won't suffer much longer? Is there another way to make them stop? I mean boycotting maybe not a bad idea but another company will do the same, it's like it will never end. There has to be a way to end this for good, what do you suggest? For all companies that abuse animals, I mean, not only IAMS.
