What is your definition of success?

success for me is something that makes you feel complete. having the feeling that you have done it and found the happiness you desire. it can be as simple as having a simple family and house and good friends. the simplicity of joy in life is something that can be consider a success for me. some would define it as reaching the top career and gaining a lot of money but i guess it's the satisfaction you feel in your life that defines success. When you are happy and proud of what you have and achieved in life that is success :D

yeah vivian,each people have their own definition about success in their live.For me,success is a level where I have a happy family,achieve excellent result in my work and of course,have a healthy life!

My definition of success would be, when I am able to achieve what I wanted to do according to my capability and experience. It is also the point of making others happy with what I achieved. Its making parents proud of me.

success is being at peace, free from debts,free from worries, comfortable living, happy with children and friends, feeling God's presence and getting well along with neighbors. It would mean cheers and smiles as well.

Yes you are right in defining success. I just want to add a few words. Success means doing the right things at right time. I think it is also very important. All the successful men have this quality. You may do things right but latter time when the chance has gone and this will not make you successful. It is very very important that you do the right thing at right time and then and then only you will be successful.

For me, success is fulfilling something that I am longing to have. When I reach my goal, I can say that there is success. In every endeavor that I made, if I made it then I call it success.

There are so many areas one can be successful in. For me I never expected to get married, heck I didn't even expect to live long enough to find someone to marry. I have now been married for 27 years, that's success for me. I also never expected to have a son to carry on my name but that happened to and it was planned, not a happy accident by any means. So I am successful there as well. I am the last male in our family to carry on the name, my other brother has two girls. I have a grade nine education from way back in 1969 and never expected to go far in life but now I work from home, make my living online and have helped a lot of people along the way. That's success to me. There are so many things in my life that I am successful at but I am not any different than most other people I know, it's just with them, they expected to do all those things. :)

My idea of success is doing things that you should and getting them done. But I think its biggest when you get things done you WANT to do. Not just should. Shoulds are fine, we do those. But what about dreams fulfilled? Things done we want to do? They still affect our lives so I think thats success is getting THOSE things done as well as other things too :)

Success is not restricted to just career but one should also have peace, satisfaction, morals and respect to others. "Simple living and high thinking."

I personally think that success is when you're trying to setup a goal. Once you set it up, you do actions to reach it and when you finally reached it, you have gotten the success you wanted. This is just my opinion ! If you don't work for the success you want, you won't get it.

I think that success is different for everyone, it all depends on your definition. If your goals have been met, you are successful. If your desire includes a nice home and peace, you work to have this just as if were to be rich. I keep my goals reachable :)

vivianchen! many people associate success with the attainment of fame, fortune, or power. but are these things the measure of real success? i'm inclined to believe the following 'six keys to personal success are: 1) keep money in its place. 2) cultivate a generous disposition. 3) forgive freely. 4) comply with god's standards. 5) show unselfish love. 6) be conscious of your spiritual need. others: choose friends wisely, avoid excesses, do no seek vengeance, work hard, apply the golden rule, control your tongue and above all, have a wholesome fear of god.

my definition of success is any achievement or progress made on something, no matter how small the achievement may look, it is definitely a successful step towards achieving higher levels and gaining more grounds in a particular situation,career or step. success does not necessarily mean more money in your pockets or more cars in your garage

as far as i am concerned, success means a lot to me! doing one thing with hard work and the result make everyone happy, get honor and respect from my peers, actually success do not indacate finishing something successfully, if the process makes eneryone happy, i think it is a success!

I will consider myself if i already have the job i really wanted, my own family, a house and a car.. i don't want to be rich because rich people got so many problems than those who don't.

Success for me is being happy with whatever I have attained in life. I don't define success in terms of how much money I have or how high my position is in my job. What matters is that I am going in the direction that I want.

As you told that success is to grow, to experienced new things, yes even I agree with that. But when there is a failure there is a sucess behind it. It is only through failure, we achieve success.

Success is something that you have achieved in life not by having a lots of money. But it is having a success with all your heart in which you have sacrificed, hard work and being happy on what you do.
