I have tried applying and also have gone through the whole process of it. I have also tried being hired and have tried failing from an interview and some exams. Up to now, I still can't figure out what's the best response to this question: "Why should we hire you?" -- one of the most common questions every company asks you. Should you also say thank you after an interview? If you missed a call from a certain company, what's the formal way of asking them why they called? most importantly after you have already failed an interview with them yet they still called you the next day. And any other DO's and DONT's when applying???? this discussion would help a lot every job seekers!!! thanks!!!

There are various buzzwords you should always use when answering questions like "Why should we hire you?". You should mention that you are hard-working, confident and conscientious, that you are adaptable and willing to learn, and that you get on well with other people. You should also talk about your previous experience, and the skills it has given you. "Experience" doesn't need to mean job-based stuff; it might be to do with your family or hobbies. The best piece of advice I would give anyone would be to make sure you have thoroughly researched the company or organization you are applying to. They will want to know that you understand what they do, and that you understand how you'll fit in. As for don'ts, there's a very long list! Don't be late; don't be rude, don't dress scruffily; don't look as though you don't really want to be there etc. etc. Above all, though, what you must do is ... smile and seem enthusiastic.
