What do you do if you are sad?

What I do when I am sad is writing it down on paper. If it is about somebody else I address the letter to that person but I don't give it to him/her. Sometimes I also make little poems. What do you do if you feel sad?

I like to right poems to!^.^ ,I could tell you that playing guitar or writing helps me feel better when I'm sad(and it dose slighty in it's own way) as in getting some of it out. But I'm going to be completly honest with you and admit that when I'm sad/angry or depressed generally I don't go looking for my guitar or open up notepad. The only thing that truely helps me feel better(almost instantly) sadly is to get loaded up on Amphetamines or what ever stimulant I can find ATM. And usually only 2 things happen everytime I either find the people or person I'm upset with and have a deep meaningful conversations(sometimes 10+ hours depending if they indulge with me) about the problems, feelings,or actions that have caused me to feel that way. ...Or I get totally geeked out and preach hitler type rants for hours after hours to anyone that'll listen even if it means going to some chatroom and haveing discussions with random people for hours I can't shut up for anything when I'm on it. But if I'm alone and do Amp I always end up doing one specific task repetivly and obsseivly untill it wears off and I crash and finally able to fall asleep(generally it's playing guitar or writing/art of some sort) Also I'd like to note a side effect of abusing them I go through every single time which eneviatabliy always ends up makeing the situation twice as worse as before...So I guess you could say I basically like to make myself even sadder when I'm sad. Vicious cycle huh?:( ...I'm looking foward to hearing how others deal with emotions when they become overwhelming? I'll be keeping up with this discussion so hopefully it'll be a fairly popular one. :-/

You've got interesting ways of dealing with sadness I see. Do you write about the thing(s) that make(s) you sad or do you just write a poem about why you're so sad or what else? What I sometimes do is talking to people I don't know, about my problems too. Some laugh at me others help me. It's just my way of venting things I am scared of to tell people I know. More often than not I can't sleep due to my sadness and then I go listen music or an hypnosis track of Paul McKenna. Then I sleep in no time and when I wake up I feel fresh and I am able to think wisely about my problems and solve it that way. :)

I usually do something that I enjoy doing, when I'm sad, something like writing, reading, watch a movie, go for a walk, or something like that. That's usually what I do, when I'm feeling sad, or something like that.

Do you also talk to people about your sadness or do you only seek for distraction from your sadness?

It depends on the day really. There are days, when I just don't get a chance to talk about it to anyone, while other days I do.

I usually go somewhere private where I can be by myself and then slowly blot out from my mind whatever it is which is making me sad with thoughts of good things and dreams. And all though this may sound rather cheesy I do whistle a happy tune as it certainly helps to change your mood and feelings. Sometimes though I will let my emotions pour out as it is good to do this once in a while.

Thinking about good things and positively about yourself is positive for your subconscious. So it's a wise thing to do. :)

When I'm sad, I try to find someone to talk to. Things always seem less severe when I can hear myself talk through what is going on. I am of the mindset that we all need each other to survive. So, not only do I share when I'm sad, but I want my friends and family members to share with me when they are, too. That way we can all support each other and nobody feels like they are alone in dealing with anything.

That's a mindset I support but as I am not someone who easily talks about what is going on in my mind I don't use it too often. But it's very good you try to find someone to talk too. :)

Taking a shower helps me sometimes as well. What also helps is listening a lot of music. Do you list music while being sad too?

I go outside my house and walk for a couple of hour to forget those sadness. I drink also one pitch of water to replenish my aura. And last but not the least, I play online games for the whole week to forget things happen to past.

I want to be alone and think what to do with my problem why I am sad. I like to listen beautiful music from fm station so that my worries will be healed out of hearing the good songs. I will make some plans what to do to solve my bad moments or sad.

I listen to music when i feel sad. Listening to slow music really helps you to forget the pain. Sometimes i cry listening to the music. They say "Music is a great therapist" and they sure weren't kidding when they said it.
