What is Tivo?

I've heard of DTH, but never heard of Tivo. Could someone enlighten me on this topic.I would appreciate if someone could explain in detail about Tivo and it's benefits.

Tivo is a digital recorder that you progam to tape the shows you want to watch when you can't be there to watch it. The benefits are that you won't miss your shows if you need to be somewhere else.
