I try not to, as my time away from the computer is just that. I also find that when I'm responding to discussions is mainly when I get my ideas for starting discussions. Having said that, I did think of a topic the other day, so I wrote it down as I wasn't able to go straight to the computer. I write a lot of articles for other sites, so I have several notepads around the house for when ideas strike.

Yeah I know what you mean about how away from computer time shouldn't be filled with thoughts about the computer, like sometimes with im out with boyfriend i talk about mylot and he gets irritated....thats very smart of you to have notepads everywhere, im thinking of getting into helium, and making a blog so thats a helpful tip for when i do, thank you :)

I do all the time. Since many of my discussions are based on observations in every day life, sometimes things will come up and I'll think, "Wow, I bet that would get a ton of responses on MyLot". I actually have a note titled "MyLot" on my BlackBerry and whenever something pops into my head and I'm too far from a computer I put it in there and then can post it when I get to work or home.

Whenever I read a good article in a magazine or watch a good program in TV I get some ideas that can be used in discussions in Mylot. And in bed also many a times new interesting ideas do pop up.But most of the time I do not remember them as I do not note them down.I can understand the annoying feeling of trying to retrieve the best ideas from your mind.

I've done this in the past. I'd think about what I could write about and turn it into a discussion, though I usually had a hard time coming up with anything or worse yet I'd end up forgetting what it was I wanted to discuss! LOL But now I'm more inclined to let the discussions come to me. For example, if something affects me personally I'll turn that into a discussion.

well yes, spicysweetie, thats a very nice name you have, "spicysweety", , well, yes I do think about discussions while away from the computer, like when I am tin the car or sometime when nobody is talking to me, it's kind of a habitt now, it's to keep me busy, thinking of class"A" discussions helps me for the future and I have another discussion to post too, so it's not really a bad thing to keep thinking on about your mylott discussions, asmany other people think so, but try not to put any pressure on yourself, and don't think that hard on these discussions, only when you are sure you have nothing else to do, becuase it does waste time if you are in the middle of something, Happy-Mylotting

when i was still new and have about the same no. of posts as you discussions to be posted in mylot creeps in my mind before sleeping and after waking up. not anymore. as long as you turn the notify is on of your friends and subscribe to mylot digest you'd have enough no. of topics to respond and earn from everyday .

Occasionally I'll think of something while I'm sitting at the coffee shop. I'll usually be able to remember it until I get home to the computer, but if it's something really out-there that I think I'll forget, I'll write it on the back of a napkin or something, and then start the discussion when I get home.

Hey Spicy, Yeah, I find that the more I write the more my creative juices start flowing and I think of several discussions to start during the course of the day. But you're correct; if you don't write them down, you may forget. That's why I carry a journal with me where ever I go. Sometimes our tendancy is to 'rack the brain'. Take your mind off of it for a while and think of something else. Many times your idea will come back to you. Hope this helps. Great looking cat!!!
