Would You Like To Make More Money on Mylot?

I was just going over a discussion I started a few days ago and noticed, more than usually, a lot of responses I just couldn't understand. Now I wouldn't think of marking them as negative just because I can't understand them but at the same time I don't usually respond to these mylotters because, well I don't know what they are saying or asking so I just have to ignore them. Well it happens way to often and I don't think it needs to. I am a web designer and I work with people where English is not their first language just like so many on Mylot. I had to drop a few clients because I just go too frustrating trying to figure out what they want done. Now that's money I don't earn, right. Later I learned about tools that are available for free that allow people to write in their mother tongue and then translate it to English. Now there is no excuse for people to lose because they don't speak or more importantly they don't write well in English. The site I refer people to is babelfish.com but there are other places, just do a search in Google for translation tools. Doing this can make a huge difference in the amount of response you get here at Mylot and that means more money for those that previously couldn't seem to earn much. I hope this helps a lot of people, but remember it doesn't work if you don't use it. Even if you haven't been here long enough to copy and paste content you can still translate and then just type the results.

Hi WebMan...I can say I have the same problem too. Sometimes I just can't make heads or tails about what a person is trying to say in their comment and that leaves me either answering it wrong or just plain ignoring it and I don't like doing either one. When someone takes the time to read my discussion and comment on it then I feel it is my duty to at least acknowledge that comment. Thanks for this suggestion and maybe it can help a few people out. flutterby

I will sometimes respond back and tell them, in the nicest way I can, that I can't understand what they are saying. I had a client from Germany and I couldn't get her to use a translator. Eventually I just had to drop her as a client. So in that case I lost money because of a language issue.

Hi, This discussion topic should be a huge opportunity for those who are more keen on earning money here at mylot for mylot pays too less for the money aspiring ones. Personally speaking I am at mylot not for money but whatsoever comes that is a bonus. I have a link where I am given various topic to write on and they pay 2 to 3 dollar per 500 words article and I have already written a lot of them and have earned too. But all are not writer that they want for the task.

I have a few people from Mylot that write articles for me as well. I have to be pretty picky here because of language issues and I am very English, no other languages. I currently pay $3.00 and $5.00 for unique 300 and 500 word articles for different blogs I have. For 20 years, as a computer instructor, I was able to help others learn how to use their computers more efficiently. When I saw the lights come on when my students were learning, well there is no better feeling for me. If I am feeling burned out I take a few minutes and come to Mylot where I know I can make someone's day in just a few short words. It makes me feel great and I can get right back to work. The joy's of working from home. I am not really familiar with the tasks here. I am not sure if I could set up a task and have people write for me. I would feel bad if their English caused me to turn them down. The way I have done it is to find specific people that have great English skill, no matter what country they are from, who like to write. If they have hobbies or interest that are in line with mine I will ask them if they would write a few articles for me. I tend to communicate with people from India, the Philippines and other countries where the cost of living is far less than other countries. This works for me because I don't have to pay a lot per article and I am helping others make a living online. A win-win situation

Wow tat is great. You put it rightly that for article writing one must possess not only good command over the language, I mean the English language, but also a good flaw of writing skill. As compared to what I am earning you pay a bit more and that is great. Well if I feel inclined towards writing more could ask a couple of task from you too. Actually, as I have said elsewhere money making is not sole purpose but Like to write. and there is no such huge paying task here at mylot and I have never tried the tasks either. Thanking you.

Thank you for the information. I am new to mylot and I am still wondering how to make a response that will land under my "best responses" tab. Could you help me?

Wouldn't it be nice if there was a magic button that would give us best response. :) The only answer I can give would be to write from the heart, give your best response and don't try to condense it into a few lines. I tend to talk a lot so I guess that has helped me with the 200 or more best responses I have received. But if you look at the number of posts and discussions I have started that is not such a high number. So look for discussions that you know a bit about and respond with info that is helpful, not only to the one starting that discussion but to those that read it as well. Your response could get others to respond and that would earn more for the one starting the discussion. If they notice you have helped they may give you... ... you got it. Best Response.
