Nice Places to Live in Atlanta?

I am expecting my first child and have been considering relocating to Atlanta. What areas in Atlanta do you think is the nicest to live in? I am looking for a good location that is not too much in the suburbs, but gives me access to a lot of things. So any suggestions would be great.
