Toilet Rolls - How do you like them to hang?

I like my toilet rolls to hang with the paper coming from underneath. I think this is mainly due to my mother hanging the toilet rolls this way as I grew up & so I have ended up doing the same thing. My mom always used to turn the toilet rolls when my dad replaced the roll as he hangs it the opposite way. If you see a toilet roll hanging the way you don't like it to, will you change it? Most of the time I do but not always. Does it annoy you when it is hung the wrong way? It does annoy me but I don't say anything because at least the roll was changes when the other ran out.

Totally! That bothers me like noone's business! I always hang the toilet paper roll with the paper coming out from the back. And if I see that it's been put on the 'wrong' way, of course, I rush to change it. Who wouldn't, right?

I so hear you there!! The bad thing for me is that most of the people I know hang the toilet rolls in what we consider the wrong way!!!

It really doesnt matter to me either way. As long as there is toilet paper on the roll, I dont care! I just hate it when someone uses the last of the toilet paper and then doesnt replace it! When I do hang the toilet paper, it is the same way as you. There is one reason for this. Little kids and cats always bat at it from the top. So if you have it coming underneath, the roll will just spin. If the toilet paper isnt coming off, it isnt nearly as fun for them. And even if they do keep spinning the roll, there is no mess to clean up afterwards!

I hear ya there, there's nothing worse than sitting on the toilet only to find there's an empty roll hanging!! My 2 year old daughter learned how to unravel the toilet roll the way I hang it before she was 1 so I had to learn to close the toilet door!!

I used to hang them with the paper hanging over the front, but then the cats would just get into the bathroom and unroll toilet paper all over the dang place. LOL My husband told me that if i hang them with the paper coming down the back, the cats won't be able to unroll them, so that's what I do now.

Cats are naughty creatures huh? I grew up with cats & they can still unravel the toilet paper with it hanging up that way too - my mom always hing the rolls like that & when our cats were kittens, we used to have to close the toilet door when we went out because of that reason - now my 2 year old loves ripping it up & putting it in the toilet :P

For me, I am not fussed which way the paper comes from. My husband likes it coming from the top. I think of the toilet paper over the top for presentation. If the paper is hanging down just a little, it is easier to grab. If the paper is hanging down underneath it is not easier to grab because the paper is closer to the wall. In the end, I really don't see either way is the right way or the wrong way. It is just a personal preferance that people like.

I like mine rolling from over the top. If I see it the other way I will change it. It is one of my major pet peeves. My husband always puts it on wrong.
