Have you ever been blocked by the censors on Mylot for no good reason?

Here's a funny little thing that happened to me today and I wanted to share it with you. I was over on the NEWS section of Mylot posting comments on various articles. And there is an article about former Vice President Cheney and his speech today. Notice how I didn't just use his first name. Well, the article used his full name (including his first name) and you know what his first name is. Well, ironically, when I 'quoted' the article, his first name was included in my quote and the Mylot censors blocked me from using the former Vice President's name. I had to go back and delete the former Vice President's first name before it would let me post a comment. How funny is that?

Because Barack Obama's name isn't also a curse word or vulgar word in slang.

She's right. Mostly the censors stop the slang version of Richard from being used. Noone knows D:ck Cheney by that name, so we have to just call him the Big D.

LOL! that's hilarious. yea,i think the censor program is a bit too sensitive sometimes. i remember trying to write about a maine c00n cat,and as you can see, that's the only way i could write it.or just say maine cat and hope people knew what i meant.

This is funny. I have 1 too. I was typing out an answer to a discussion the other day and (couldn't remember what topic) I was typing example: skiving c-u-m working online c-u-m going on my daily job duties. I was censored on that word when it is actually supposed to explain and/or.

Isn't it the truth! For one, I can't figure out the payment structure on Mylot and I've been here almost three years.

Mylot censors does pick up some silly things. The name Richard, which has a nickname that also matches that of the the Former Vice President's first name, is well, lol not at all a bad word. Ofcourse I'm talking about the nickname. In any case I know that I have gotten a bit confused as to why the word racoon without the RA at the front is censored. Unless it is slang for something I am not aware of, I can't think of any reason why it would be a bad word. Growing up I think that I've heard the word without the RA in it atleast a dozen times or more. It's just what they were, and still are. lol. Well I guess mylot has to be extra careful so as to not offend anyone, especially with the language barrier and translation softwares that might pick up a word to mean something totally different then it really is meant. With so many different ways to say things in this country from the north to the south, it's hard not to get a little confused from time to time. I'm still not sure why a thing I grew up knowing as a hat, is also a sled up North! lol! Tobaggen, is what I am talking about.
