let say someone you love, a friend or family member will need a particular organ to save his/her life for example a kidney, would you give yours? i know its not easy to decide coz i myself is still undecided but i think when that time comes(God forbids) i will be more than willing to do so especially if that will save my loved ones' life...

of course i will... especially if it is for my loved ones... there will be no second thought... if i can do something to save somebody's life, i will do it... we are a social being and we can't live by ourselves... we always need other people and we will never know that it will be our turn next time to receive help from other people... take care and have a nice day...

most definitely. It won't really affect me that much while it saves the life of a person that means so much to me. Even if it a stranger it is the same. We only get one life and giving someone the opportunity to live theirs to the fullest is the greatest thing someone can do.

If only I'm qualified but I'm not. I can't donate anything because of my condition. Donating organ or blood is good you can help other people. Very few people are not aware of donating their organ to other people.

For me, this is an easy question to answer. Without hesitation, I would donate any organ possible to save the life of a friend or family member. In fact, my driver's license is marked that I am an organ donor. That way, if I am killed in an accident, anyone who responds will know my body/organs need to be dealt with quickly.

well of course i think most people don't realize how much someone mean to you till it comes down to it but when it does they'd do anything to save them

There are so many factors to consider. I cant say that the answer will be absolutely yes. For some things - such as bone marrow - the answer would always be yes. But for a kidney I have to really think about it. What are the chances of that person's survival? Do they need other organs? How is their overall health? Do they want me to do it? What is my overall health? I have a friend whose mom is sick. My friend has 1 sister. Her sister is not eligible to donate a kidney. Her mom told my friend not to donate anything. She wants my friend to stay healthy to be able to take care of her sister. Donating organs is a great thing and very important. But you need to make sure you are ready for the possibility of having your own problems - like kidney failure if you donate one. If ever I was in a horrible accident and was going to die anyway, I would want my organs to be donated. I dont think my family would think twice about it - the answer would be yes everytime. I just hope that situation never comes up!

I'd donate to save a loved one in an instant, if I was chosen as the best option to donate. Given that I don't have the best health in the world, though, I'm not sure I would ever actually be picked as the best option. While there are long waiting lists for some types of organs, they're usually not the ones that can be donated by a living person. I'm also an organ donor for when I die, too, and pretty much would be fine with whatever of my body that science or other people can use or need being taken after I die, since I certainly wont be needing it anymore. ;)

This is something that I wouldn't even have to think twice about. Be it a kidney or donating blood. If it meant that I would be saving the life or making life easier for a close family member or a close friend I would do so in an instant. We don't realize just how much someone means to us and just what we would do for them in a situation such as this and God forbid if it ever comes down to it I would really do so. I believe that most other people feel the same way on this subject because if we are going to do just fine without the body organ and are healthy and can donate then why not do so.

I would not have to even think about it, Of course I would, for someone I loved. I was recently tested to be a kidney donor for a church member. I was not a match for her, I am also on the national bone marrow list for donation. I am a big advocate for organ and blood donation. After all if it were not for a blood donor I well would not be here today.
