What do you think of walking dogs without letting the dog to walk?

Isn't it weird that you take your dog out for a walk but you have to hold it in your hand? And the dog quietly lie in your "lap"? Does that still call walking a dog? I've seen more than once, more than one dog, their masters holding them like something so precious out for fresh air, walking with the little doggies (terrier, chiwawa etc.) in their arms. They are like princes & princesses who don't need to walk around but have slaves to carry / drive them around. That's quite ridiculous, isn't it? The masters become slaves of the little doggies now! The things is......I assume the dogs need exercise.......is good to their health, isn't it?

Those aren't dogs, those are over sized rats in disguise. I'd step on those little yappers if they were running around my house.

I have 2 dogs. My older dog is 10 years old and she learned long time ago to jump on my hands after one hour of walk if she is tired. I can hold her, but not for longer than 5 minutes....however, we walk for at least one hour a day....she has a reason to get tired...

Is this like someone who hold his or her dog to walk? I always see these on the street, I don't agree this doing even if I am not a master of dog. Maybe people are too love their dogs to hold them walk in the street, in order to avoid the harms from outside. The start point is right but to me I will think more on the dogs' position, compare with be held by master, they will hope to walk themselves more. Whatever how a master loves his or her dog, the most important thing is let the dog get real happy, such as let the dog walk itself on street in stead of hold them in your hands.

from another point of view....it's also for the safty of the other people on the street. You don't want the dog will do to other ppl. And some ppl is afraid of dog.....

It's just cruel to a dog to deny it a right to exercise...it can't be good to their health not to walk around. People should stop using pets as accessories and accept that they are living beings.

I don't think carrying dogs is a bad thing. It's when the person doesn't let the dog walk EVER that it's bad. They haven't become the dog's slaves, they just think the dogs deserve more pampering than they really do. For instance, when you buy the dog more expensive clothes than you buy yourself, or when you spend more on their grooming than you do on your own. It's insane how many people actually do that for the dogs.

That's spoiling. I don't think the dogs like being carry everywhere all the time. Just think about yourself being carry around all the time. And yes, those people spending on those money to dress their pets, bring them to beauty clinics & massage.....mine, I don't go to the human's one either......are really out of their head!
