Any bossa nova artist to recommend?

I just started listening to bossa nova several days ago. I like the rhythm.
Unfortunately, I don't know that many bossa nova singers/artists. I've searched on the net but then there are so many of them. Can you recommend one whom you think is a great one 
to listen to and why? Thanks

I've heard the term before but never taken the time to learn what it means. What kind of music is bossa nova?
