I want to sell shave ice for Summer, anyone ever sell shave ice

I am looking at selling shave ice for summer. I just brought an Italian Ice shaver for a child, and I spend $3.00. I think that was very high. Of course since, I am a budding entrepreneur I thought why not buy a cheap machine and try to sell. I already have a business that is willing to have me set up outside. I came online to research cost etc, and I found Hawaiian ice , and Italian. What is the difference which is more popular? If you ever sold this item, did you make a profit? What was the cost associated with doing this business?
