Just wondering if anyone would actually be likely to do that. (obviously it's just for fun, but hey, if anyone wants to give me owt for nowt, then I'm happy with that!)

There are some people who would fall for this if it was worded slightly differently, they do say there's one born every minute.

And if one were to be trying to con someone (or to see if anyone would fall for it in reality) how do you propose one goes about it? ;P

Actually, this can happen. If the business is charitable or for an extremely good cause, some entrepeneurs do give large sums of money to businesses either out of the goodness of their heart or as a publicity stunt. I've seen this on dragons den before, where all the dragons gave an equal amount to a couple who had designed a water delivery system for third world countries, and they wanted some money to put it into action. The dragons gave them the money for 0% because they were so impressed and because the pitch was so good.

That's very heartwarming, thank you. :)
