It is very important to keep your components and software updated and to the mark as far as networking is concerned. Many a times software installed has an option to look for newer versions of the copy and download itself, Do you do it yourself?

yes I do look up for latest updates for the various softwares that I have installed on my computer. I usually check for updates manually once in a week. I keep the automatic update option turned on only for my anti-virus software but for all other softwares I check manually if there are any updates available.
