Do you earn any money from Google Adsense?

I am thinking about trying Google Adsense. How does the system work for you? Are you generating an income? How does it work? Do you get paid per view or per click? If you are generating an income from google adsense, have you put forth a large effort into advertising or was it easy to earn? I am just curious about the opinions of google adsense users.
