I heard this on a podcast I was listening to earlier but was wondering if it were true. Anyone know for sure?

I don't know about hamsters, but I would'nt doubt it. They are classified as rodents, right? I've seen mice eat their own babies, and actually it was the male mice eating the babies not the females. They multiply quick to. As for cats, I've never seen that and never want to. My sister's cat had kittens and one was still born, and the mother never ate the baby. She did eat the sack for the minerals and vitamins.
