We lived with my husbands grandmother once, she had no running water, no way to wash dishes or take a bath. You couldn't even flush the toilet. I've never been "homeless" in the sense that there was no roof over my head, because my family has always tried to help where they could. However, I would never want to live without plumbing again. It STINKS!! literally and figuratively. Oh yeah, and with the fact she had no way to clean her house, she had over 50 animals in and around her house. Thank GOD we have our own place with plumbing, even if the main line does tend to clog, at least we can flush and bathe/shower.

almost. my parents stopped working even though they knew that we need a regular source of income because we have to pay for the rent but they didn't care. it's a good thing that the owner lets us stay for about 6 months without paying but we could not stay that way forever so i decided to find a job at the age of 16 just to have enough money to pay the rent.
