I really need to start blogging all this. But anyways--you know the chart they hang outside your door at the doctor's/hospital room?? That is your chart,your medical information. Do you know you have every right to read this??? Some professional will tell you that you really are not entitled but believe me you are!!! If your married or have POA papers on someone,all you have to do is just ask this person-Want me to read your chart? You may be surprised at the information you find-and yes if you don' understand something ASK the doctor about it!!! How many of YOU wanted to read through your chart,but felt you were not suppose to?

i actually asked for a copy of my file from a doctor that i was going to switch from and was shocked at what the notes had to say, things that we had not discussed that it said we didn't, mind you i was prego so it jus may have been my baby brain, but i was really shocked, needless to say they got a email from me and a reminder that i was not going to recommend them to anyone and would warn against them in fact!!! But I was under the impression my chart was their own private diary of "me" and hands off!! will definitely keep tabs on my charts from now on!!
