I wish I could write like some people do. They can write poems and I have seen some beautiful poems written. Are you a poem writer? and why do you like writing poems? I like to write. That is how I have made friends all over the world. But poems Is one thing I was never good at. And I have seen some well written poems.

I enjoy reading good poems too. I have loved poetry, since I was a child. I only write prose now but I have written some poetry in the past, and I have had some of my poems published in small press magazines and anthologies. I find poetry writing very creative and expressive, but it takes me much longer and requires a lot more effort than writing prose.

Congrats to you getting your poems published. You must be a very good writer. If it wasn't good they wouldn't publish it I am sure. I think poems show peoples true feelings inside. Just like an artist does.

I like to write poems and short stories. I usually write poems when I'm having an extreme rush of emotions. I've written poems while in tears before and while laughing out loud. I just write to help express myself. It's my form of therapy. It really helps to get everything out. I can't tell you how many times I've stopped myself from doing something stupid by just sitting down and writing a poem or story about it.

It is a good way to express yourself. Its all in your heart and it comes out on the paper. It happens to people that draw, paint and do sculptures. Look at Thomas kincaid work. He has a lot of love in his heart and he brings it out in his paintings. He has sense he has been young.

Hi Strawberrybaby, dont worry, most people do not write poems well. Even though most of us can compose a reasonably well written email, and can compose a nasty complaint letter, writing beautiful peoms is out of our reach. Somehow writing long novel or long article is easier than writing poem. In a long article, the individual word or phase is not as important as the words in a poem.

Hi scheng, I try not to worry about it but at times I do. I can write very long letters to people even my friends that live very far away. And yes i agree we can write complaints easy. But poems are way different. And when we try bring our words out on that paper at times it just don't happen the way we want it to.

But everyone has a talent when he born, I can write and paint. I am sure you can do something which I do no know and wish I could be doing it too so everyone is unique here. I also write poems sometimes and I just need some more writing to show someone.

I like watching people paint and see there art come to life. Thomas Kincaid is a wonderful painter. I love his work and wish I had it all through my house. I like reading what people write. Its like picking up a good book and not being able to put it down till you are done reading it.

I write poems too...but I cannot say if its good or what because people have different views of this pieces. It doesn't have any basis for what's hot and what's not. *smiles* I think in order for one to write a beautiful poem, he/she must rely on her second mind, my point is, to rely on your innermost wants, thoughts and feelings. Keep it real and do not give up. :D

We have the same situation. I am a poem writer too but I have to read a lot of books before writing a good poem. Usually I read three books then write a poem. As well as I have to pour my emotions into it in order to have some good message. It takes time to write good poems. There is no better than the others since all poems are purely come from ourselves.

I like a lot of the love story books. I read a lot of them. Heart song book I collect and read a lot. Then you wish you could meet someone like that they way they put it in the book. But we all know it doesn't happen that way. But yes I agree from reading books it does help. All poems come from the heart.

i like to write as well. i like to write down my ideas, what my thoughts are, what i feel and basically things that interest me... but i don't think i'm a poet or a poem writer. not by a long shot. i did write poems before, i had fun making rhymes. but i don't do it regularly, just once in a while. i don't even know if it was ever any good. i love reading a lot and after i do, i sometimes write down a short poem about my reaction to it. the same thing when i watched a french film and another time after enjoying myself in a piano concert by a japanese pianist. the poems i make are just a reflection and perhaps a piece of my mind and a glimpse of my everyday life. i don't have a flair for writing yet to be able to own a written work of art... like poets romancing their poems.

That is where writing comes from is the heart. Its all your feelings inside that come out on that paper. Just like a painter brings his or her feeling out in the painting rather good or bad happy or sad. I like Japanese music. It sounds very relaxing to me. Wish I had some of the Japanese music. I like a lot of there stuff. Even there pictures. They have beautiful art.
