Being so clever means that you understand things well beyond what they seems to be from the surface. Being stupid means that you only see things as they appear to be and you don't even think of how the internal would be nor what is underneath the surface. So, which one you prefer? Being clever and be worried about so many things as you are clever enough to think through things and know the problems ahead much sooner than others. Or you prefer being stupid so that you are always out of problems as you simply can't understand why there are so many things to worry about?

One can't say. You need to be stupid at times too. By being stupid at times, your enemies will underestimate you which should help you succeed.

Being stupid or ignorant of the world around you could almost be blissful, with you almost having an excuses not to conform with all the social niceties, you could blatantly insult people and someone would probably explain how you are. Yet that lack of understanding could also be a disadvantage by not being able to understand all the remarks, but most of all you would miss out on the witty humour that is around.

I guess it just depends on the situation. Both could be good. or both could be bad depends what the situation is....
