Hey Pinoys! There are a few more long weekends left in our calendar. If you're planning to go somewhere (or you're planning to plan on going somewhere LOL) then you should check out this list: http://is.gd/HOOK I posted a discussion asking for what places in our beautiful country I can go have an outing with my friends. I missed actually going to the beach this summer, but that's ok since I don't like crowded beaches anyway - non-peak seasons is the way to go!

Long weekends are very enjoyable ofcourse. If you can, it would be nice to travel to neighboring countries where you can enjoy beautiful places there.

I also do like visiting nearby countries for short trips but I do believe that 3 days and 2 nights is too short for a visit to another country :) I'd prefer at least 4 days like what my family usually schedules when we have an out of the country family trips. Unfortunately, we're a little tight on the budget :P Maybe in a couple of years my family would be able to take another far-away trip.

Thanks for sharing those list. My family will be heading to Baguio on June 12, utilizing the long weekend :)

yeahhh... i love holiday... :-) unfortunately, we don't have much long holiday anymore here for the rest of the year and i always have to work anyway during public holidays to earn more money... so it doesn't really make much difference to me... take care and have a nice day...

One good thing about my current job is that... i don't really follow the holidays and long weekends... so if i want to go for a long vacation... i just ask permission from my boss... next year... my daughter and i will be going to Kota Kinabalu for a week... as early as now... i already told my boss... and she gave me the go signal... but before that... i am planning to go for a short trip... just waiting for an airline promo so that i can save a lot...

Yes I also don't like to go to beaches this summer season because aside from being too much crowded we will also get easily burned because of the sunny heat. It's really too hot and I think I will not enjoy swimming with this kind of weather. I will likely like to spend these weekends more into indoor swimming pools. Happy mylotting.

I like to go to the lake or even the mountains with my family. We can cook outside and the air is fresh. I live where there are no beaches but as a kid I used to enjoy going to the beach in the summer from June to September.

I think going to the beach is not just for summer. I have been in Phuket Beach, Thailand in July 2007. June to September is considered as the non-peak season and you can get better rates and deals in the flight tickets and resort/hotel rooms. Like you, I don't like the crowded beaches as well. Thanks for posting the long weekends calendar, it will be useful to everybody all year round.

Hey there! Thanks for the post! I have trip scheduled for the long weekend in August. I'm going to go to Cagayan de Oro with some of my friends from college. I'm not sure if August is part of the non-peak season and I hope that there won't be that many people there when we go. I too wasn't able to go to the beach this summer but like you said, that's OK since the beaches get EXTREMELY crowded during the summer.

Hi Oyenkai, Yes, here in our office, we are always updated of our HOLIDAYS. Yes, it is a nice time to enjoy your vacation even though it is a two days or three days vacation. For us, (with my husband) we usually spend this kind of vacation together. Sometimes we treat ourselves going to a mall or having a spa together (like facial, massage & sauna) and also we love to watch movies together. But oftentimes, we spend a two day vacation or one day vacation with our house, like cleaning the house, painting some rooms. It is also a best time for us to rest for the 5 days work. But if the holidays are long, we get to spend it together with our families and sometimes we do travel also. ;o)

Long week ends is the best time to spend with whom you like to share with. In most of the time for summer, going to a resort is one thing to be in. One would also be those left trails for hiking and best sight seeing along that's near your place. The most I like would be hiking. Its the only time I spent for my health as well as enjoying the great views that I can see. Going to swim would also be better in times that hot days are observed.
