Is nice to give and receive flowers? How many times you give flowers as gift?

Who you like to give flowers? Your mother? Wife? lover? O you like to give flowers to your friends when is theirs birthday? Do you think that you must give flowers just who you love or is a ordinary gesture for you? What flowers do you like more?

It's been a few years back that I have decided to start giving a rose for my husband on Valentine's day. It's an appointment I keep: one single blue rose as a token of appreciation. He forgets from year to year but he likes to receive it and I am glad to give him a flower. This does not happen on other occasions. On the other hand, there were more moments when he gave me flowers.

When my husband was working and living in Arizona, I sent him flowers at the office one day. it was really sweet, since he worked in an office full of women, and they thought it was so cute that I sent them. He sent me flowers for valentine's Day the first year we were together, and he brings me flowers quite often.
