Georgia Wine Country, how many of you knew they had one

The state of Georgia in the US has an area that is considered our own wine country in the south. I have to say, as someone that truly enjoys a great bottle of wine, that it is well worth the visit to the area. It is just an hour north of Atlanta and well worth the drive. Nestled in the gorgeous Georgia Mountains with many bed and breakfasts around the area, it is so easy to make a weekend of it. Many of the winerys offer wine masters dinner on Saturday night, wine tastings all week long and brunch on Sunday. With so much that to offer in the area it amazes me how few know it actually exist. I go there about every two months, either with the girls or with my husband. So if you life in the South, and love a great glass of wine you have no need to travel to Nappa Valley when we have such a great selection in our own back yard..
