Do you share comb with your friends and family members?

I usually don't share my comb unless it is really an emergency.. LOL.. the reason is that... they might have some problems like dandruff, lice and nits on their hair and it will transfer to mine. I don't like it. So, if possible I want my comb to be my private use. I do have extra that I could let others borrow and that is for borrowers used only. What about you? do you let others use your comb? Just curious!!!

I only let one person borrow and use my comb and that is my husband. I have nothing against lending him my comb because he does not have any hair problems nor do I. So I lend him mine and he lends his comb to me too. When we are out or strolling in the mall we only bring one comb. Good for you and very clever because you have an extra comb intended for borrowers use only so they will find you a good friend who is not very cautious in lending comb. That is a good practice. If there are emergencies like when my sister or mom wanted to borrow my comb then that is fine with me but I make sure that I wash the comb after they use it or I just secretly wipe it on my jeans to remove some tiny dirt. That at least makes me feel better. But for proper hygiene and good practice it is still good to use your own comb.

Dandruff is contagious my friend and lice could cling on the comb and the owner could by chance get these lice. Yakkk! I don't wanna share my comb. I actually do not also borrow other's comb as much as possible. I mean each one should have one. I hate those who have the habit of borrowing comb. I usually decline from lending mine. If it is my hubby and my son, I will not mind. Occasionally they do, if they forgot to bring their own. Anyway I know they have clean hair. But with others, I don't.

My siblings may use a little comb I have from time to time but friends are a definite no no. My sis and I grew up using each others so stuff so that is not so bad and we all have our own. For friends to use my stuff though is like an invasion of privacy and may just allow them to take the comb or else I'll get rid of it. I would not use it again.

Nobody else uses my comb, its just my husband and I and he doesn't have hair long enough to use a comb, he keeps his hair shaved off short. Its never really been an issue, if we have company usually they will bring their own things they need.

Well, that's fine. There are times that our close friends will borrow our comb.. but then, I have to let them use my extra one.

Sometimes I share comb with my kids but to strangers or even friends, I don't. It is not safe to let other people use your comb. It is really hard to fight against dandruff and other hair problems and I don't want to suffer this. Just sorry to my friends I want my comb private.. but for my little kids I can let them use it.

I usually share my comb to my family members only, because i am sure that my family had no dandruff or lice, but for my friend i didn't want her/ him barrow from me, when i want to go out i use to it to bring my own comb at my bag or pocket, to prevent dandruff or lice.

Nopes I don't. A comb is something private. Plus, I have an itchy scalp and don't want to pass it to other. I am still trying to figure out how to stop my scalp from itching so much. :) Cheers and happy Mylotting

Each one in our house have their own comb. But if one of my family member one to use my comb, I guess it alright. I never thought of having extra comb for letting others to borrow it, but that's a good idea Bebs08 ..

Yup!! it is a good idea to have lots of comb or have an extra one in your bag so that when others want to borrow you have something to let them use.

No I don't share a comb with anyone either, and that's to stop my hair from going greasy too quickly! My family members tend to wear more styling products in their hair than me, so I don't like sharing as it makes a build-up of products in my hair that I don't even use in the first place.

No, I don't like to share it with anyone and I don't like to use anyone's comb. Because it don't look neat to me and I have dandruff so I want to keep my hair clean and I try not to spread my dandruff to someone else :P

I completely understand. U need to use that rule as long as you have kids in your house, as long as you attend a church, day care, school activities. My 3 year old had lice for 5 months if not longer. we even moved to an apartment where everything was practically new and she still had it. i spent day after day going to day care and them combing through her hair to see if there was any signs of anything that looked like lice. they were trying to prevent an outbreak and I understand I really do. she gave the lice to me and my mom had it at one point. I, we, used everything to get it out and finally I used this shapoo I had bought a couple of years of ago called tea tree oil shampoo and I washed her hair in it and we went the rest of the time lice free. it's very difficult to nip in the bed especially when they start laying eggs. they lay eggs within 24 hours of being hatched and they can up to 7 eggs a day until you get rid of them. the lice things say 7 days but it's really 24 hours. anyways, keep the other combs. my suggestion after someone has used it a couple of times replace the

The only person I will share my brush with is my daughter. She's not in a daycare or preschool yet, so I don't really worry about it. Once she gets out in public that will all change though. Of course, you can get lice and nits just by being around someone who has them. I've personally never had them... Thank god.

I don't let anyone outside of family use my comb or brush. I am a Mother so I pretty much share everything with my son. He is only 4 years old and when ever I use something, He wants to use it too. But as for friends or others I would not let use my comb or brush because of the possiblity of lice or other skin conditions that affect the scalp.

I can share my combs with anyone. I buy BARBICIDE,which is used to clean combs in a beauty shop. If your afraid to use a friends brush. You may as well not go to a hair shop. They share brushes all day long after clients. I know I have worked in too many shops. The combs they don't mind washing. But,the brushes to them are a problem. Good luck

Hi, here at our house , scenario is different. There are many things, shared in between family members. we live in joint family and we are aware about who is having hair related disease.yes we can keep individual comb but at the time of using it, it's somewhat difficult for us to use our one.Because place for keeping all combs would be common. So here in india culture is different so thinking is different.
