Any new writers here? Do you know of any publishing houses that accept manuscripts of new writers?

I am new writer. I wrote a mix of fantasy and humor along with traces of sci-fi. I know, it is a sort of meddled up. Maybe because I started writing while I was a kid. Yup! I started writing novels from my fifth, but that one was les than 100 pages. Nothing much big... I am also trying to get some publishing ideas. I know some places in Kerala, if you are Keralite, just ask me. But if you want to publish it globally, you can try this: www.lulu.com You have to type the text in computer and send it to them. They will calculate the prices if you want it as a hardcover or paperback. Once you pay it, they will print it and supply to bookstores like Amazon and Barnes&noble. They also give you some good concession while purchasing the ISBN. ISBN is a must for international books. It costs around 500$(I think) if you buy it directly; but lulu buys as a bulk so you have to pay only some 100$. Good Luck! -Ajith

I heard that H&C Books and DC Books accepts english manuscripts. They are professionals in marketing so you need not worry about anything else. Make sure you write good content. They will check thoroughly before accepting... Good Luck!
