Learn and Use Foreign Language

At what age did you start learning your first foreign language?Can you speak it now? Do you often communicate with native speakers of that language? Can you tell interesting stories about learning or using the foreign language?

philippines is known to be educated using the english language, so from grade school we are being taught on how to read and write english. but of course, not being our native tongue, we still have grammatical and pronunciation errors.
i'm now married to an american and we both laugh at my pronunciation mistakes like the sheet sounding sh*t, beach sounding b*tch, LOL! oh well, i'm learning:)

I started learning foreign language from the age of 6. Now this language appears to be our own language.
