I guess it is enough now, it becomes very difficult to work under someone who never understands you--i am talking abt my company boss. everyday the same thing. how long can i take, people should understand the market. I am into marketing with a inusurance company, i have team of 27 relationship managers working under me. everything is goin good but due to recession their is a slow down in business. everywhere the same thing but my company is exceptional. It is very difficult to work under him,he keeps shouting at me, he keeps insulting me in front of my team,he gives me a negative remark everytime,he abuses me in front of all the staffs, he tells me not to stay inside the office-- these things r goin on for last 5 months. Even I have a team but I never shout at them,i know the facts, the market is not so easy.--and their is no one who can listen to me--my travelling payments are due-- i can see no growth under him. I am planning now to resign--i will try and get a new job--i have to resign-i can take no more--i m demotivated now.

Hi. xparttime1. Welcome to myLot. I am very sorry about how your boss is treating you. I know when I was mistreated by my boss, nothing seemed to get any better at all. My boss was so mean to me until I just walked out on my job one day. I just could not take anymore of his nasty ways. I wanted out of sadness. He knew that I was a good worker and he still was mean to me. He did not like when guys would talk to me or help me either. You will just have to leave this job alone, because staying there will only make you feel more stressed out than you already are. I don't know what is the deal with these bosses, they think that just because we are working up under them, it gives them the right to just treat us any old kind of way. Well, I will be one worker that chooses not to put up with it!

i worked with a foreign-based company that deals with US citizens. we are expected to hit our team stats but our supervisors are aware of whats happening so they tend to understand -- but not all the time.. those who are not that performing a lot is pressured because of the current situation in the US. some office mates resigned because of the pressure.

Perhaps your boss is under great pressure to perform and hence he has to push his team. Personally I feel if one has the correct attitude, one can go very far no matter where he is. Hence, do not feel demotivated. The present situation should inspire you to move forward.

if you are really that desperate, go ahead and quit. be prepared to take the first thing that comes up, even if it is fast food or cleaning toilets. better to do menial work for less pay than to be disrespected, especially in front of others. it will be HARD if you jump ship without a life raft at this point, but consider if it would worse to live in your car (or a shelter, or with relatives, or whatever) if necessary. i have been in your position, and there were a few times when i decided that leaving, no matter what, was the only way to save my sanity.......and probably my boss's life!

Work under someone who never understand you is really very suffering, if you have good idea as well as ability, you should try your best to set up your own business, though difficult, but you will be happy.
