So guys what's the best gift for your friend on his/her marriage? One of my close friends (girl) recently got marriage and for some reasons I was unable to go on her wedding. Now I am planning to visit her but I am completely blank as what should I give her as her wedding gift? Any Ideas??

If you know your friend very well you will generally have an idea about what she likes. So accordingly you can gift her. I think there is no best gift as such which will be suitable to everyone. It all depends on the nature of the person . If you do not know your friend's particular likes and interests , you can consider giving her money in an envelope. She will buy whatever she likes . In case you give a gift to her which she already has or does not like it, then she will not use it. But If you give her money in an envelope, It will certainly not be wasted. That is what I think .

Yeah, I myself prefer giving money other than any gifts, because even if I know her likes and dislikes I have no idea what gifts she already got and what she has made for herself before marriage. Presents like tea sets, wall clocks, dresses, sandwich and coffee maker, I guess she must have bought all these things by now. And she is moving soon to another country. So let's see. Aditya, if you prefer money than do you have any idea what amount is reasonable and good?

Exactly my choice ;) Though I was thinking of buying something more expensive for her as she might be moving out of the country soon and I may not see her in ages again. Thanks a lot Aditya :)

Hi Maryam, It all depends on how close you are to your friend . If she is a close and old friend of yours then you should consider giving at least thousand rupees . If she is not a very close friend of yours then you should consider giving at least 250 to 500 rupees. That is what I generally prefer to do. In the end it is the matter of your personal choice. thanks happy mylotting

Present your newly married friend a love-poem of Persian poet Omar Khayyam. That will be well printed and well framed. With this give her a bunch of flowers.I think this will be the best gift.

Usually, I will try to find a gift that can be useful for her, like household items, electrical appliances or any accessories that also can serve be useful like a mirror. You need to figure something that someone haven't gift her yet. If you're out of idea, a tea cup set is good too. It's always useful regardless how many sets they get.

Well depends how close is the friend to you and sincs u've mentioned she's very close frnd of urs, i think you should probably gift her something that makes her remember of the days before her marriage as a frnd dat she spent with you. A memorable customized calendar or a collage of pictures. ON the other hand you can also gift them a nice little weekend getoff to sme place gud or probably call them up to your place for a weekend getaway.

Maryam, now that she is wedded you need to think of something as beautiful as it defines you, this is because the gift you would give is not only a piece of article but denotes you. It should be a memorable one, which she sees or uses and remembers you always. I think you can give a nice double bed sheet or else a nice piece of articulate gift which she would keep in a corner of her house! nice and all the best!
