Blogging???

So I am new this blogging thing and I have a question about it if anyone can help. When you start a blog can you have it be about two entirely different things or should you have a different blog about different things? I know that it is your blog and you can do whatever you want with it but do you think it would be too much if the same blog had a bunch of different "ideas"? I have a blog now that talks about the paid websites that I am a member of but I would also like to talk about my at home business so should I start a new totally different blog for that???

I talk about a few different subjects on my blog and it does OK for traffic (though it will never make me rich). Though if you are talking about business it is best to have separate blogs as you will get more visitors, though I find maintaining more than one blog very difficult and tend to only really concentrate on one.
