How often does your grass need mowed?

How often does your grass need mowed or cut? You notice I said "need". Our grass has needed cut within less than a week of it being mowed for the last month now. I can't believe how much it is growing this year. Maybe it just seems that way, because it has been a year since growing season. And then of course, in the summer when it gets really hot, I'll probably be wondering why it isn't growing enough. LOL What about you? Does it seem like your grass has been growing a lot here lately? Does it need mowed pretty quick, or is it just average?

I don't have my own grass but I overlook a park (very nice too) and it is cut by the council. I guess it really needs doing once a week but they do it once every two or three depending on the weather. They do a very good job of it too and I love the smell on the days they do come to cut it. The smell of freshly cut green grass reminds me of UK, not that I get nostalgic but when I was a child everyone had a lawn there and the smell was so English!

I just looked at your profile and seen that you live in Italy. For some reason I thought you did like in the UK. I have never been to Europe, but when I finally do make it, England and Italy are on the top of my list of places to see. Our grass usually slows down in the summer. It's just that in the Spring we get all the rain. Then in the summer, a lot of times it gets so dry that we are wishing that we had rain. I guess it rains a lot in England, from what I have heard. So they probably have to mow their grass a lot there. Thanks for all of your responses in my discussions. I greatly appreciate it.

I have looked at Italy's location on the globe. I would really love to visit Italy some time. I guess it would probably be best to visit during the fall or spring, because it may be a little too hot in the summer to actually enjoy yourself. That is especially if you plan on doing much on foot. Thanks again and have a wonderful day!

My family's lawn should be mowed once a week. Ther are some patches that grow a lot faster than other parts, so if we leave it alone, the lawn looks really uneven and weird.

My yard used to be like that (where I lived before). And as a matter of fact, it was the front part that everyone could see that didn't grow as fast. So, even if I didn't mow the rest of it as soon as it needed to be mowed, the front still looked good to passers by. Thank you for your response in this discussion, and have a great evening here on myLot!
