How many siblings do you have, if any, and what have you learned?

I'm one of six children and I face so many personalities. I was lucky and got stuck right in the middle as the fourth. However, I believe my experiences with the five different personalities molds my inner self into a different sculpture of human life. I believe having my younger sisters made me realize how to care and to stay child - like. My oldest brother turned me into the gamer nerd, my oldest sister lead me to a collegiate softball scholarship, my second sister taught me how to handle men and to loook good, my two younger sisters proved the power of influence from older to the younger. I used to take my family for granted, but now as i sit alone in the house made for the 8 of us, I wish I could go back and collect more memories with everyone. So, thoughts! How did your sibling life mold you into the person that you are? Are you glad, mad, indifferent, etc?

This is a really good discussion and I am sure that there are a lot of people with brothers and sisters,I am sure there are some who have a lot of brothers and sisters, while others have a few brothers and sisters, and then I am sure there are some who have no brothers and sisters, and that is cool that you have five brothers and sisters and that you are stuck in the middle as the fourth child, when it comes to me I only have one half brother named Joey who is eleven years older than me so me and him have never been close, and I have never had a lot to do with him,so basically I grew up as an only child which was sometimes good because I got what I wanted without having to share, and then there were times it sucked because I would get lonely and have no one to play with which always sucked, and I wish I had more to do with Joey and that we were closer and age,so that way we would have hung out more and I could have learned from him, have a great day, good luck with your life, and all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

thank you, i appreciate your response, because it helps me question my stance as an older sister. with age difference comes a superiority, but i think i would like to show my sisters that i can be fun and a friend as well.

I've got just one elder sister and we are as different as can be in every way. While we are quite close, I dont think either of us has influenced each other by our personalities. Probably the age gap (5.5 years) accounted for it. Or probably it was because it was just the two of us.

Hm, I see. I was drawn to my brother as a friend first and he's 6 years older. But it could be size and the effet of family on an individual.

I am the only one in my family, since china has one-child policy. Really jelous about what you have. My husband always say that i am selfish ,he said that is the one-child policy's effect. Now i just have my first baby,i hope i can have more, hope they could play together, learn together. But really spend a lot to raise the more child in china, and need to pay the penalty.

I am one of five and I am the second youngest. I love having 4 siblings and I think even more would be fun. Having big brothers is always fun because I get to go out and be with the guys sometimes and be a tomboy. I love going hiking and enjoying the "guy" things they do. An older sister is always nice because you can watch her go through growing up while watching. They can get annoying though when you tell your secrets to them and they tell on you. Having a little sister was always annoying to me. She would always want me to do things with her that I had already outgrown. It is always nice to be the older one though and boss her around. Having more siblings always makes people more mature and willing to accept others. I noticed that only children are very selfish and have a hard time agreeing with their peers. I am glad that I grew up with my 4 siblings.
