It may have been a rerun, but I watched Dr. Phil yesterday and they were talking abotu Fathers who didn't want to be fathers. One case was of a guy who claimed that his gf told him she couldn't get pregnant, and that she was taking birth control pills. His Advocate Beside him made the point that it was the decision of both irregardless of contraceptive failure. I'm sure he was trying to make the case for his "client" so to speak, but it really helped the mother more. The father of the child claims that he was tricked, and while I don't think it had been proven, I think that the whole "contraceptive failure" and "decision of both irregardless" really puts the woman in favor here because it makes the man look like he just doesn't want to have anything to do with the mother or the child. I am not a women's activist, nor do I believe that women are always right. However, I do think that while men should have more to say in this world then they do in matter such as this, they also need to be sure to leave blame out of it. That goes for both men and women, don't blame the other for what they did or didn't do, talk it out and come to a decision. Did anyone else see this and what did they think? A guy from Cheers was on there, and he made for a comical ending of that episode.
