Before she was a Mom
She made and ate hot meals
She had unstained clothing
She had quiet conversation on the phone
Before she was a Mom
She slept as late as she wanted
And never worried about how late she got into bed
She brushed her hair and her teeth everyday
Before she was a Mom
She cleaned my house each day
She never tripped over toys or forgot words to lullabies
Before she was a Mom
She didn't worry whether or not her plants were poisonous
She never thought about immunizations.
Before She was a Mom
She had never been puked on
Pooped on
Spit on
Chewed on
Or pinched by tiny fingers
Before She was a Mom
She had complete control of her thoughts
Her body and her mind
She slept all night
Before She was a Mom
She never held down a screaming child
So that doctors could do tests
Or give shots.
Before She was a Mom
She never looked into teary eyes and cried
She never got gloriously happy over a simple grin
She never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before She was a Mom
She never held a sleeping baby just because She didn't want to put it down
She never felt her heart break into a million pieces
She never knew that something so small
Could alter her life so much
She never knew that She could love someone so much
She never knew she would love being a Mom
Before She was a Mom
She didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby
She didn't know that bond between a Mother and her child
She didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important
Before She was a Mom
She had never gotten up in the middle of the night
Every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay
She had never known the warmth
The joy
The heartache
The wonderfulness
Or the satisfaction of being a Mom
She didn't know She was capable of feeling so much before She was a MOM

I love my mom very much. When i was a child i used to quarrel with my mom every day. Not really a big quarrel but just for fun. And she will come to beat me, I will run away. Hehe... Usually mom will not be able to catch me. Even if She caught me, she wont beat.
Now its all are past memory. I like to remember those days.

I really enjoyed that ! Thanks for writing it , it made my day ! it reminded me of all the little things we do as our children are small . Mine are all grown up and sometimes I forget all those little things :)

Mother is the sweetest word in the world. If we get trouble or pain we will remember the mother. Mother has given this body by the gace of god. We will always thanks our mother, because she has given this life. Mother is the first teacher to the children. I Love my mother, but she left me two years ago.
