using PHP and MySQL

I recently add PHP and MySQL for my web design purpose. But I really stuck in one point that I never success to install the programs. The problems are always the same. The configuration thing. I bought some books about those programs, I also download additional files from the Internet but everything seems difficult. The matter is I really want to study it, but I don't know how? I also download the easyphp1-7 and install it. I was happy for a moment that it works. But suddenly the information in the book I read told me that I need another program called PHPThriad. I downloaded it right away and installed it. Now the problem is the easyphp cannot open the phpmyadmin. I am stuck really. So i began to uninstall the program and reinstall it again but the thing is not working. I am desperate. Guys, is there any of you that understand the program and can help me right away? I am stuck and desperate.
