Because I said so..

I have found it funny how many times or things I do now to my kids/grand kids that my parents did to me. TV is a big surprise. We didn't have it when we were growing up - high school was our first tv. Dad said there were to many other things to be doing with our time that sitting in front of that one-eyed monster... At the time.. he was the worst dad ever!... now couple decades later... I did the same thing with my kids and realize.. no, he was pretty darn smart! Me and my siblings and my kids have a variety of talents of things we can do, skills and things like that. Wouldn't have had if we'd had tv. BUT... the funnier thing is... now my daughter and son are saying the things I said to them to their kids!!! They'll say something and then we all look at each other with a "de je vue" kind of feeling! What goes around come around, I guess!! OR maybe to my own credit.. I should say.. I was obviously a pretty good mom if they are instructing their kids the way I instructed them and they turned out pretty darn good!

ROFL..I say this a lot. I say this to my dogs..yes they argue..audibly. My daughter is the worst about it. She'll follow you around until you are ready to explode but it usually works to spin around and tell her "Why? You wanna know why? Cus I said so that's why and what I say goes~" . Usually puts a stop to it. I try to be "humorous" about it..but it doesn't always come off that way :)

yes, I remember those days all to well. When that three letter word come out of there mouth. Why.. You swear to god that god tell them or programs that into the system to test mothers. Grant you it is the learning stage of a young child, but it gets to a point where it drives you up the wall. Yet on other days the word mommy can get on your nerves. Don't get me wrong I love my children with all my heart but gee there is a daddy in the word vocabulary too. LOL. Oh well I guess there is nothing like a mom to put everything right or at least try to. LOL
