What am I? Am I lazy or diligent?

I have this problem in identifying myself when people ask me a question if I am lazy or not. I don't like doing chores. I don't like running around my little house and bump on walls or tumble on the floor because I am in a hurry to do something. I don't know how to cook, how to do laundry--(*but I wash my own personal things*) and anything you can say a household chore. BUT, I know how to and use the computer. I know my lessons. I get high grades in academics. I know I suck in Physical Education and I get rewards for it. So, what am I? Am I lazy or diligent?

I think there is a difference between not wanting to do something and flat out not doing it. I wouldn't say you are lazy. I'm sure there are things that you know a lot about that other people know very litte. I don't know how to cook or do yard work, but I work very hard at making a living and providing a good life for my family. I wouldn't consider myself lazy at all. I don't like cleaning my house, but I do, it may not be on the cover of a magazine, but we are by no means living in filth. I just think there is a balance. There are people out there that spend all day playing video games and watching TV, can't hold down a job and don't care to. I think that qualifies more as lazy.

Hm...I guess I really am lazy. I really love computer games and everything related to computers. That's the reason why I am currently taking Information Technology as a course. I never do chores since I am "busy" with other stuffs like this. I had always thought I could never be the girl figure my parents wanted me to be. And I guess I am right. Girls in our family MUST know how to do these things. I think it's only me who can't follow that rule. lol

I'm not your typical girly girl either. I'm still not convinced that makes either of us lazy. You just aren't going to be a house wife or anything like that and that's okay.

hmmmm...i woulnd't call you lazy, i wouldn't also call you a diligent person, its just normal, not wanting to do the chores, because personally it sucks doing all those kinds of things, but i still always do it since it is an obligation at the household, and you don't want your things to be in a mess do you? and congrats for the good grades, you are deligent enough to study that hard.

Thank you! For commenting and for your praise. I do my very best in school since I am keeping a promise to my mother I've made ever since I could remember... I made a vow that I could finish until college to be able to help my parents in the future, to support my siblings and make my mother's every wish and wants come true. If I remember it correctly, my mother was not able to finish her schooling due to her work in her younger years...

Not wanting to do chores doesn't make you lazy - it shows you have your priorities right. High grades is more important than a high gloss on the furniture. I do think you should learn to cook, though, because then you are more in control of your life, and I think you'll find you actually enjoy it. There is more to life than housework, but food is the source of life. You sound like my kind of person.

Thank you so much for your opinion. Well...I can't really cook but I bake cakes and trying to learn more on how to make sweets. I just had this problem since my siblings call me lazy. I don't like the actual cooking since I can't hold a knife without getting afraid that I might cut myself or hurt someone who gets close to me. I am clumsy. I can't touch raw fish since I can't stand the smell for more than a minute. I can't look at raw meat because I'll think of the pigs that were butchered just to become my meal. And I love eating pork. But I know how to put some things together to make a nice meal--without going through those. I just don't do it often since the ingredients are bought from my own lunch money.

I would think you are little lazy. Of course, you don't like doing chores, I think, you have your seasons., but you should do some chores when you are free. Doing chores is good for you. I can cook. I feel happy while my family members have a meal that I made.
