Anyone here who is an oDesk user?

In my own words, oDdesk is a growing online recruitment agency that connects employer and worker in a semi-formal setting. I registered with oDesk a few days ago and have yet to take the necessary oDesk Readiness Test. However, I already got some job offers. I dunno if its advantageous or not. As I've said,I'm new there. I'd appreciate it very much if you guys could give me some advice or tips on how I could gradually learn the ropes of it. Thanks! :)

That's amazing! Do you have a good portfolio? I've never had any job offers from ODesk - which is why I stopped visiting the site after a couple of months of no-work-offered membership. I still don't know why I never received any offers because the expertise I listed are quite uncommon. What kind of job offers did you get? Data Entry? Or jobs that are a little more complicated? Thanks for the response on my discussion :)

Hello edelweiza! I am not sure about what exactly you would like us to help in starting with odesk. But since you mentioned that you have been receiving job offers already (despite not passing the test yet)... that is a great plus already! I would advise you to vomplete the readiness test, and update your profile. Make it as much as possible, eye catching to any buyer...since there are thousands of providers already. I have posted my odesk account profile on my blog (check out my profile), with it is my latest earnings. It's not that much earning since I opted to work less than 10 hours a week. I just want to show you guys, that there really are great opportunities waiting in odesk...and it starts with a great profile for the buyer to start assessing with.
