Why cricket become crazy sport around the world?

I think majority of the people really crazy about the games so i would like to know the reasons why most of them like, i know few of them but not 100% causes so which game or sport you like and why do you like that game.
Why most of the Indians like the that sport?
Have you ever played cricket?
do you like to bowl or bat most of the time?

Well cricket is not a big thing here in my country. In fact if you ask some people here they might reply, "Cricket?? What is that?" Basketball is the most popular sport/game here in my country. Almost every street has a basketball court. Everyone knows the name Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, etc., etc.. Basketball is just a very big sport here. There in India cricket is definitely a big big sport. I have never played nor watch cricket. I've only played cricket in my cellphone.lol I would like to try cricket though if I have a chance.

In many countries cricket is not big game and in most of the country people like that game anyhow remaining sports also great watch at any time.

I do agree that it generates more heat and money because Many of them like to watch the game many times.
