Fellow myLotters! I need your help! My girlfriend's having constipation, and even if she hardly ever does get to pass motion, they're in small little balls (as she puts it). And the worst thing, she HATES banana, which we all know is rice in fibre (fiber) (and I soOOoooOOO love!). haha! Any suggestions? Either as other fruits / vegetables that are rich in fibre, or any banana items that she might like? Like for example, she's okay with banana milk. So I need help! haha!

If your gf is constipated, banana is the last thing she should eat because it will harden her stool more! As the previous posters have suggested, eating papaya is the sure remedy because it is rich in fibre and enzyme (papain) that softens digestive matter. Drinking plenty of water, eating oats, and leafy vegetables will help too.

It hardens the stool because of its high pectin content. Thus, eating bananas is more helpful when you have diarrhea. Stick to papaya. I guarantee you, it will end your gf's misery with constipation. =)

fresh pineapple or pineapple juice, watermelon, pomelo and papaya should do the trick if you go for fruits. or you can try hot chocolate, sweetened and eat some nuts. peanuts will do if there are no other nuts, but cashews is better. for other things you can do with banana without really tasting the banana... you can do a choco-banana nutty oatmeal shake. you will need 3 spoons of chocolate powder, 1 banana, 1 spoon of roasted unsalted peanuts, 1 spoon of raw oatmeal (instant, ready-to-cook), 250 ml water, and crushed ice or 5-6 ice cubes. put everything in a blender, shake for 1 minute and serve. hope any of these can work for your girlfriend. goodluck!

just ask your girlfriend to have lots of orange, scrambled egg, oat bran muffin, milk, fruit salad and lots of water. Water is one of the calorie free stuff that will help her pass her motion without much trouble. :) For more help brouse through the internet with the key word as "constipation" or "fibre rich foods".
