Randy Johnson finally won his 300th game! It was about time! At age 45! Johnson should hit 300 wins earlier if he was bothered by back problems in the past few years! Congrandulations to Randy Johnson are your 300th win! I don't think we will see another 300th game winner for quite awihle!

Yeah. Randy should have reached 300 a long time ago. I never thought Glavine would reach the number before him. We may not ever see another 300 game winner because starters don't pitch long enough. I see guys now that only pitch 5 innings. The middle relief guys have a bigger role now. I don't see many stud pitchers out there with much consistency year in and year out, at least not young ones. But you never know the longevity of some of these guy. No one is even close to 300 right now.

you are right no other pitcher is close to 300! So many pitchers, like you said, don't seem to get past the 5th inning! Pitchers aren't like they use to be! At least alot of them!

Congratulations to Randy Johonson, its certainly a huge accomplishment to reach three hundred wins, especially in today's game. In my opinion, he will be the last 300-game winner in the history of Major League Baseball. Why? Pitchers are getting fewer starts a year, are getting taken out of games way sooner than in the past, and teams are overcautious with injuries. I also saw a blog on yahoo! about how an umpire won the game for Randy by calling a pitch that looked like a ball a strike in the 8th inning with the bases loaded and a full count, but nevertheless, I hope he enjoys his accomplishment.

Finally, man it took so long for him to get that. I think that he should retire now. His slider isn't as nasty as it used to be. His fastball is average at best. He is a hall of famer for sure now so hang up the cleats Randy. Your career will speak for itself.

I'm glad he got it, I remember how deadly he was in his prime. Now the closest one to 300 is Jamie Moyer but He's probably done in about a year or two. Not sure who's next in line after moyer thats still active.
