What type of alternative med would you say is good for anxiety? I am looking for something that could be either herbal or a vitamin.

We use calms forte around here, it's good for humans and animals. Any time we need to stress our Llamas we use it and I usually take a couple so that I will also remain calm.

I have heard good things about calms forte. Is that something you can just take as needed or is it to be taken everyday?

As far as I know it can be taken everyday, but if you are trying to handle stress you need to do something like Yoga in other words change your habits and learn to breath, this is so important.

You can try using reflexology. It calms the nerves and promotes better blood flow. You can also try going to a spa and get a relaxing massage. There is also Acupuncture. But the best that beats the alternative way is Exercise. Exercise releases endorphins which induces euphoria which eases pain.

I have heard that St. John's Wort and Valerian are good herbs for anxiety. However, they can still cause side effects and you should still check with your doctor first.

Whenever I'm stressed or really emotional, my parents always tell me to take a vitamin B. I don't know what it does, but that's what I'm told to do! It helps.

I'd try chamomille (sp?) tea, any herbal tea really that is specifically for calm.
