with the rise of facebook and twitter, myspace seems to be slowly fading away. What do u all think?

For those that chase the fads, yes, Myspace will fade, just as facebook and twitter will. However, for those of us who seriously use Myspace to coordinate music events, art shows, and other things, we will continue to use it. Some of us will use the other things, just as another platform to promote on. Others will be content with what we have!

I rarely visit myspace anymore. I don't think most of my friends do either. I see them all updating a lot more often on Facebook. I prefer Facebook these days too! So I would agree that Myspace is fading away. I'm ok with it though - since I don't use it much now anyways.

I still use MySpace for listening to music and discovering new artists, which is what I've always used it for. I think it's still pretty good for that, so I will keep using it. In fact, the NY Times did an article this week saying how MySpace had become a good source for adults who want to find jazz music, etc., not just the music for young people that MySpace seems to be known for. I like Twitter, but use it for different things. I don't use Facebook. MySpace's popularity is definitely going down. We'll have to see what their new CEO can do.

I originally signed up for LiveJournal for blogging. The only reason I signed up for Myspace and Facebook was because I wanted to stay in touch with old friends who had accounts with those services (and they didn't want to sign up with LiveJournal.) I only use Facebook and Myspace on an occasional basis. They tend to have my local friends for the most part, while my LiveJournal friends live all over the U.S., Canada and Europe. I also signed up for a Twitter account when the service started. The brief-message format is great for times when I just want to publish a single thought instead of a lengthy post.

i like myspace so much better. the only reason i joined facebook was because i graduated this year and some of my friends only had facebook . i want to keep in touch so im willing to have both. i like myspace a lot better, because i like to be able to personalize my page. its so much fun to be able to change it and see your different friends personalities through their page. i also like the music. i always go to my friends pages and see what their music selection is like at the moment. im always a myspace fan!!!

I peronally still prefer myspace and facebook, granted I care a little more for Facebook due to the advanced ability of chat ( yes, i know myspace has chat now too, but I don't care for it). I also have looked at Twitter, however it doesn't spike my interest! I will be sticking to Myspace and Facebook. I don't think myspace is fading away, it's just that there now must be even more time divided between the three!
