how u choose a discussion for response in mylot?

hi everybody. it is a big riddle to me that how a mylotter chooses a discussion for response. i have seen that some discussions are here with light and unuseful subjects. there are no special significance of those discussions but unfortunatly these discussions gain maximum responses. there are some discussions which are too more important to our life but these often gain a less importance. but why? what we seek? more money or reputation or it is our effort to be familiar to maximum mylotters just sending "yes" or "no" type responses. do u go to the purport of a discussion before posting a response? what is the criteria for u to select your favourite discussion? are u that type of person who neglect those discussions containing grammatical mistakes or a week compose? do you give first preferance to your close friends here in mylot. please share.

I would like to choose some discussions really interest me.That will make me give a response or opinions naturally. If we do it just for money,it will be very painful I think. Why we do that in easy mood?Let's enjoy the communication.

Well, first i response to discussions that i am interested in and i do have something opinions to give, there are often a lot of dicussions that i think are very good but actually i don't have something to response,so in that case ,i have to let them alone. Secondly, when i want to join some discussions ,i mostly check the topics that friends started first, then go on to the top discussions. At last ,if there are indeed not any discussions that i am interested in,then i start a new one by myself. So,that's the way i work on Mylot.

I'm usually on a limited time schedule when I log onto mylot. I normally just go through the top discussions or I'll cruise through the new discussion or no response discussion. I'm not sure why I pick the ones I do. I just read the titles until something catches my eye. Until I come across a discussion that I have an opinion on and I post to there.

hi imsilver, that should be right. i think we should be conscious to our friends also. i don't say that we should response to their every discussion but if anyone is in problem then it's our duty to post something in favour of him/her. thanks for response.lol

I basically choose the discussions that I respond to based on the question that they immediate present either on the subject of the discussion or on the first couple of lines visible on the preview. However, I focus on my respondent's own discussions rather than on finding new discussions on the Discussions tab - I think I'm doing people more favor by doing so because I often end up responding on 0 Response discussions and 1 year old discussions :P

first when i log in here it is through a notification in my email, i respond first whatever response i have read there, then i go to no response and select what ever discussion that looks interesting to me and i can say something, then i go to recent, new, etc... i just jump from tab to tab in the discussion tab. i dont really have a preference if it is from a friend or not or with grammatical error or perfect. as long as i can say something in it i respond to that discussion. now for those discussions that are in hot topics with "no special significance" well, those users that started it, they have already close friends here and they are comfortable talking like that, its not about getting answers to life's questions they go here, its about having fun, getting together with their friends, and they get a bonus for doing it, getting paid... lol and they are already old users here, and probably they have asked those life changing questions before and have answers to those, so they lighten the place up with their kind of discussions.

yah u are right. perhaps which discussion we think as a new one, that may be old to old users and they already had responded that discussion. but " do u use toothpaste regulerly?" is it a topic? it is just an example. there are many topics similar to it. what do u think about these topics?

yeah i ve seen those kinds, maybe the poster cant think of anything intelligent to discuss at that moment and he or she really wanted to post a discussion that time, and it was what comes to his or her mind... ... if you see those just pass it, if it gets no response it'll be deleted anyway. so just roll your eyes on those... lol

When I see the title of the discussion I decide if it's interesting for me or it's not. Then I decide if I'm going to response to it. And yes, when I read the main post in the discussion and the responses I prefer them not to have grammatical mistakes. It would be great if everybody try to write without mistakes - it looks better and it says much about the users education. If I found some discussion interesting I will answer it, and I will try to do it the best way that I can. I will try go give some good minded answers. A good discussion is always welcome! =]

hi there, i am not agree with you for your views on grammatical mistakes. no body is perfact and nobody commit mistakes willingly. thanks for response.

I only say that is looks better when it's written the right way. English is not my native language, sometimes I'm not sure if that what I'm writing is correctly spelled (grammatically correct), but I always try to make it the way it needs to be. Everyone decides how to write ;) But I think it would be better if everyone try to write correctly =]

Its upto an individual about choosing any topic on the discussions. But it will be always better o start a discussion which you really know about . Some guys are starting discussions only to increase their earnings its really not a good practice try to start discussions which you will be able to write for more than 4 to 5 lines and then see how much responses you get

hi shibam, i honestly understand your feeling for this is what i have been thinking too. When it comes to sharing good tips there are only a few responses but when it is like sharing something too silly many people dropby and post their responses. I generally go to the no response section and then start looking for toopics that share some kind of knowledge and are interesting too. I do respond to most of my friends' discussions but if it does no interest me i wait for the right discussion :)

Based on my experience, I answer those that I can answer with some sense. I give comments to those issues that I can relate to or that I feel that I can give some input to.. Sometimes though I admit, I answer questions that are just too weird or those questions that are controversial. LOL.

I will never look after the discussion starter and the grammatical or spell mistakes while I decide to respond. If I know about the issue started, then I will respond and I will never reply in useless manner,ie,.with one or few words . I will not respond to the discussions started with referral links and the if discussion started seems violated the terms as they will be deleted and hence our response also..It is unfortunate in mylot, only the discussions which are of not much use are getting much responses and the highly informative discussions remains unattended, still. Also the interests "Make extra money" or "Earn money " are only getting more responses..Hope this attitude will change in future.

hi kumarpslv. i am agree with you. yes, "make extra money" or "earn money" are getting more importance here bcoz a huge number of mylotters are here only for money. they don't feel their respnsibilities that they should be supportive to others if someone in problem and seeking help from us. but there are also some members who are very active to other's problem and try to throw resolution with big loyality. thanks for the response.

I just try to think whether I have anything to say about the topic. If I do, I reply. That's it. Any other things are not important. I don't care about the grammar. I don't care about whether it weights. I don't care about whether others are responding to my responses. In the end, I reply because I want to.

I do not have any basis in choosing which discussion to respond to. For as long as I am interested with the topic and I have something to say then I respond. I have to admit, I have not checked on the grammar and other criteria with the discussions I respond to. I believe that for as long as I can share my thoughts on a good topic then I will respond.

1st of all, not all mylotters here are from US that's why their english in not that good (don't criticize them.) 2nd, the people here have the freedom to choose what discussion they want to participate in whether the subject is important or insignificant. Ofcourse it's normal too that they would only choose the ones they are interested in.
