Whilst scouring the net last night for images of dragons for my latest tatt, I came across this pic and HAD to read the story attached to it. It basically reads that this China dragon fossil that was exhibited in Xinwei Ancient Life Fossils Museum in Anshun, Guizhou. It has a pair of horns above its head and its shape resembles the legendary animal often described in books and stories. Dragons have often appeared in Chinese legends and the chinese people are often described as descendants of the dragon. Until now, many people have believed that the dragon was simply a thing of fiction. Research is indicating that the china dragon was an amphibian that lived in the ocean in the Triassic period about 200 million years ago. It spent most of its time living in water but occasionally walked on land - which would mean that it didn't fly or breathe fire!!What do we reckon? I'll post a link if you're interested x
