Pls suggest a replacement brand for a HP/Compaq CD/DVD drive...

I have an HP/Compaq desktop. coming up on 5 years old. I got the 3 year warrenty and in that 3 years had to replace the CD/DCD drive twice. It would start this loud howl sound. I don't use it that much, so it can't be cause I wore it out! so.. now.. the warrenty expired and the drive is making that same loud howl.. so I need to replace it. I would like to know everyones thoughts on how to go about it... do I buy a HP brand or is there a better brand? I am also within a budget so it can't be to expensive. Is there a brand you have that is inexpensive and you really like it? or have had good luck with the longevity of the drive? I installed the first 2 myself... was rather easy, so since I will be doing this one myself.. installation has to be very easy. I am asking as I am wondering if the HP brands were just "throw away" brands.. you know, last a little while and then they die, hoping you will upgrade or something. Each drive I had lasted about 1,1/2 years. And again, I don't use it that much so it can't be going bad due to "wear and tear". Any suggestions?
