Mother sacrifices everything for the child. She at times gives up her own preferences for the well being of the child. She gives up comfort and other things. She is a very embodiment of sacrifice. Kudos to such mothers!

my dear friends mother is not a God but u can say she is like a Haven or have value more than Haven. God is only one. but mother love us like a God. So here plz make some difference between mother and God. No one like a God.

Mother is the personification of love, affection, sacrifice and so on and so forth.Nowords can describe her concern and sacrifice for her children. She slogs in the kitchen to cook the the best and is ready to hear her children's woes and happiness. The amount of toil she renders to reach her child to the top in life is unmeasurable .She is ever a forgiver and I am sure that we cannot do even 10 percent of what she did for her during her old age .My mother is 83 and I still run to her to pour out my pathetic tales regarding my married children .It is true that I also equally ponder over the well being of my children .So mother can never be parallelled by anyone else.

She is the living God and more than Goddess as Goddess cannot be seen and cannot be felt.

I agree with Samson. Why go for those unknown hypothetical Gods when we have a real God in front of us? It's no wonder that our culture (and probably even many others, if at all. I ain't sure!) has asked us to place God way behind parents. (You're from India, aren't you?) Mothers are worthy of such respect; much more than God. Even I've posted a similar discussion just a while ago. How has nature managed to make her so loving, caring and sacrificing? I'm speechless! Kudos to all mothers in effect!

Hi! cudamani. Yes, I have experienced that in my own life how mother sacrifices everything taking from small things to big things in life. I love my mum very much and for me she lies even above the goddess...
