now that jimmy left the band, is there really any reason for billy too keep the band going? I don't really think so, I think he should quit it nad let it be that, he already destroyed the name of the pumpkins, don't destroy it anymore..I don't know, what do you think ?

Billy has had a few solo interactions since the prime of SP. I am not sure that using the actual name will happen much in the future, when it is just him now from the original band set.
He may keep the band going, if there is a desire to tour more. A lot of musicians will not play a band song on a solo tour.
I am curious though, why do you believe that he had destroyed the name of the band? I know a lot of people assumed it was over, for good. Then he comes back with another album, another tour, and some new faces.
Sometimes, I wonder if people like the feeling of being there when a band ends. When the band reunites in one form or antoher, they feel cheated.

He has done it before, he can go solo, but it would be strange to go to a "Billy concert" and hear him play an SP song, though many fans in attendance would chant as such.
Perhaps that is what it all was really about. Cashing in on that sentiment. Wanting to relive the fame of having a successful band, when Zwan and his solo project were not as much. And of course, getting some of that nastalgic monies as well...
